Do You Have What It Takes?

The majority of people tends to be a victim (prey)…

Victims of the complexity and number of systems that surround them… They can fall victims of a certain economical system, victims of the many political systems around the World, victims of a dictaturial system, victim of a religious system, even a cultural system!!!

Starting now, we will replace the use of the term system by another that I think should be much more appropriate and that will be network. So, from now on we will be talking about economical networks, political networks, religious networks, etc.

You will note that in the conceptual references behind the word network there are two important ideas… Net and Work !!

A net-work is like a community of people that shares common  interests, occupations, ideas, beliefs, political views and so on… and that benefits from its internal (and external) capacities to gather ressources and information in order to grow stronger and better!

In other words, that same community WORKS as one; converging the information and the ressources from its edges to its core… Building its NET larger and larger, stronger and stronger; linking together the individuals that support the community / increasing its harvesting capacities, its power and its influence.

As a visual reference, you could compare it to an (almost) ever-growing spider-web!!

Usually, a spider-web is mainly known to be a trap!!! A trap used by a spider to catch its preys, its food! The larger the trap is, the larger the number of victims it’ll catch! The stronger the trap is, the bigger the victims and the longer it’ll hold’em in!! Whether you see it as a spider-web, a trap or a net, it’s active (it’s alive!!!) and it does what it has to do… It works!!

Now…

Who benefits the most from these traps?! Who are the spiders, the predators that get the bigger portions of that feast of captures!?

My first idea would be to look at those who represent a particular network and try to find out who seems to have gathered the most!! Check out for some fat-asses spiders!!!

There!! In the center of the web; a fat juicy spider… Wow!!! She’s ten time bigger than some other ones that stand beside her… But wait! Even those other by-standers look humongous compare to those tiny babies hanging down here, at the bottom of the web… Impressive!! A truly amazing structure!! It grows faster than your eyes can see!!

Then, some might say to themselves: I want to be part of this too!! After all, I fell like I’m a spider!! I might even BE a spider!! I AM A SPIDER!! And I want my share of the feast!!

Where do I sign? When do I start?!

But first… (!)

Do you have what it takes??

Well, if you’ve got what it takes (ressources) and are able to show that you can bring something useful (information AND other ressources!) to the rest of the community, then you might be given a chance in!! You must already know that once inside, it’ll be a day-to-day struggle to demonstrate to the rest of the community that you have the strengh, courage and ambition to deserve a share of that collective treasure!! If you’re smart enough, you might even get enough respect and supports to eventually climb your way to the top and become the supreme Keys Holder… Who knows?!

For the rest of us all… The ones that stand outside the networks, outside the ring, it’s not looking very good!!

Since they have control over most of the ressources and information (for instance, on how to gather some for ourselves too!), they decide if they leave some crumbs to the outsiders or not…

If you stand close enough to the network without being caught in, you might get some… But if you’re too far to get some, you’ll have to deal with the outsiders who caught the crumbs first, and that my friends will  be expensive!!!

Have you got some crumbs lately ?!

What Will It Be Today?

You probably already know this but I must clearly state it again:

Our universe is nothing more than complete chaos

Please, tell me… What will keep an asteroid from destroying all lifeforms on a planet that stands in his deadly path? Trust me, it’ll hit it without any discernment! (unless that lifeform has developped super-nuclear-laser-blasters that can destroy that evil asteroid!!)

But seriously, it could be an empty planet made of rocks, dust and sand or it could be a planet filled with water, land and life! It’ll just hit whatever it has to hit… Plain and deadly simple! Just as chaos is!!

Just like giant supernovas (massive star explosion) are… They occur everyday everywhere in the universe, blasting their material all around; destroying, burning, melting, annihilating whatever stands around it!!  You think it has any feelings for its lifefull neighbouring planet?? It’s just death in a blast!

Maybe you need something  much closer to us… A cougar, for instance, won’t spare its prey because it has a sudden conscience that it will break-up an entire family of deers and leave starving orphans behind… He’ll just do what he’s born to do, eat!!!

What makes you think that things should be different for human beings?

I mean, we live in a totally chaotic World filled with predators that feed themselves off juicy, unaware, abundant and blinded cattle!!

The more the attention of the sheeps is diverted the more they will become easy catches for their assaillants!

Nature is made like this, whether you like it or not…

There is no supreme being that ONLY cares for our planet or its inhabitants!!  No superman to spare our planet from being hit by a Texas-size-asteroid! No ultraman to prevent the weaks from being abused by the strong…

Simply, there are NO supreme or divine ruler that reign over us, like 90% of the planet think it does!!

Nor should you think that you will suffer consequences for breaking the “rulers’ rules“!!! Nor should you think that these rules exists…

It’s sad to admit it, but all there is… Is chaos!!! Pure, simple and anarchic chaos!!

And my friends, we are ALL part of it!!

Now…

You may ask yourself: Am I a cougar kind of person? (taking over weaker individuals, stealing from them, cheating, lying, backstabbing, etc.)

Or am I some dumbass cattle? (too busy enjoying tv,music, fashion, sports and shows to realize that I’m being watched and desired… As food!!)

Or maybe I’m just a totally random dead body made of dirt that flies through time and space knocking everything that stands in my way?  (not caring, not enjoying, not feeling;  just as empty and sad an emo can be!!)

Like most humans, you’re probably a mix of all these options…

Both predator and prey: Sometimes you’re being fed on by bigger, stronger and faster than you…And sometimes YOU feed on smaller, weaker and slower than you!

And some other time you’re just there, drifting around, wandering, searching something, anything… pushing your way through slowly… Without being nothing of a prey or a predator!! Just being there, silently being nothing more than a random character in a random time and place!!

[...] So what will it be today, sir ?!

What Do You Know?

Here are some interesting quotes about freedom…

“None are more hopelessly enslaved than those who falsely believe they are free…” - Johann Wolfgang von Goethe 1749-1832

“Liberty: One of Imagination’s most precious possessions…”Ambrose Bierce 1842-1914

“There are two freedoms - the false, where a man is free to do what he likes; the true, where he is free to do what he ought…”Charles Kingsley 1819-1875

“When the People contend for their liberty, they seldom get anything for their Victory but new Masters…” - George Savile 1633-1695

“Liberty cannot be preserved without a general knowledge among the people who have… A right, an indisputable, unalienable, indefeasible, divine right to that most dreaded and envied kind of knowledge, I mean the characters and conduct of their rulers…” - John Adams 1735-1826

After reading these quotes (you can find a thousand more by clicking here) you’ve probably noticed that the real freedom mainly comes from knowledge…

Those who are truly free are those who truly know…

And then you have to ask yourself: What do I know?

[...] still thinking that you are free?

Maybe you’re one of those individuals who think that God (whatever his name is) is THE ONLY ONE that actually states the rules of the World we live in?

Those who know that there is no such thing as God (I’m talking about the ALL-MIGHTY and ALL-KNOWING religious figure and everything that comes with it: commandments, morality, consequences, etc.) are the ones that are truly free… Free of doing whatever they want since they don’t live in the fear of punishment!

And since they don’t care about punishment nor morality and that most of us do… Well, that kind of gives them an overtaking power over ordinary and naive people like the vast majority of earth’s inhabitants!

I mean, if you KNOW that your immorality or your against-the-rules actions will have no consequences at all… You quickly start to realize that you are in a way better position than those who fear the consequences of taking the same actions!

I don’t want to start to look like I’m totally agnostic…(!) — I will come back on God’s subject in a couple of posts…

I just want to make a point about the fact that those who KNOW that there are actually no consequences for whatever action that they take  have a serious advantage over the submitted people who live in the fear of punishment…

When you free yourself of those “ethic bonds” you begin to see that you can cease opportunities that regular people don’t have the “guts” (or the immorality) to… And you realize that you could benefit from that position!

As parents try to control their children behavior by brandishing the fact that Santa won’t bring presents on Christmas if they do not obey… Some people thought that they might use the same strategy over masses of people…

They did… And it worked!

Now… I’m asking you again… What do you know?

And you can add to that: What are you SURE of ?!

Why Me?

The World as we know it today is primarly composed of vast and complex systems (economical, political, social, etc.) depending on each other to exist.

Those systems only holds together because the masses of people believe in them, accept them and support them through their way of living and through their way of thinking…

Of course, the era in which we evolve is quite something in itself.  Everything changes so fast that sometimes it’s hard for us to keep up with it…

Each and everyone of us has, through its own life experiences, found ways to position themselves in this space and in this time…

Some are well-grounded to what’s going on around them and some might seem to be a little more lunatics or simply disconnected from reality. Nonetheless, everyone of those individuals has a very precise role to play in this infinite chain reaction that is life on Earth!

And trust me… That has nothing to do with destiny !!

Personnaly, I was born in an high-average class family. I never missed of anything and my parents gave me everything they possibly could! They gave me a good shelter, good food, good care and good education.  I know that I’m part of the privileged ones that didn’t have it too rough in life… Up to this day, I’ve been living in abundance and I thank them (everyday… In my heart!) for everything they did for me and wish that I’ll be able to give the same (or even better) to my children to come…

But I’m not blinded by all of this love and give!  I know that most people in the World don’t share that same kind of luck…

I know that for some people (even children), its a day-to-day struggle to find food and water. I know that some don’t even have a shelter to rely on for protection. I know that some will never learn to read, write or count… Being too busy grinding their way through basic daily survival!

Once again, trust me… I’m not trying to press you to adopt an african child! I’m just trying to emphasize the importance of understanding how lucky we are to be what we are!! Lucky to be standing where we are standing at this time. Lucky to be free (or at least, to have the impression of it!), lucky to have access to all of these ressources, technologies and rights!

I think that it is a rightful question to ask yourself: Why me?

And it is another rightful question to ask yourself: Why not?

At this point, you’ve probably realized  already that being able to access blogs like this one, to read them, to analyze their content and to share your views and impressions with millions of other readers like you, makes you a very special person or at least a very lucky one!

To be able to do all of this stuff you need a whole lot of ressources and knowledges that a majority of human beings don’t have access to!

First, you need to know how to read and write. Then you need electricty to operate one of the two one-thousand-dollars computer that you own! Computers that are obviously connected to the internet, which is not censored or monitored as it is in some other authoritarian countries! So basically, you have the rights to do, read and write about whatever is on your mind!

Finally, a solid education is also needed so that you’d at least be interested in the kind of things that are debated around this kind of blog and to have the thinking and the words to share your opinions with other educated fellows that have the same privileged existence as yours!!

Wow! You truly ARE a lucky individual!!

Is that how you really feel like??
